Thomas & Marker Construction employee Martin Cromes, left, puts up scaffolding Thursday morning at the Logan County Health District, 310 S. Main St., in the midst of snow showers, while equipment operator Stan Born clears away construction debris with a backhoe. These preparations were being made for the installation of a walk-in cooler, to be delivered Jan. 15, on the west side of the facility that will be used to store vaccines. Total project costs are estimated at about $32,000, the majority of which is covered by a federal Public Health Infrastructure grant. (EXAMINER PHOTO | MANDY HOCHSTEDLER) |
