In an effort to prevent a temporary shutdown of local public transportation services, representatives of RTC Industries met with Logan County Commissioners, Ohio Department of Transportation officials and members of the Tri County Community Action Commission board Tuesday morning.
The meeting was intended to iron out technicalities in advance of the June 5 deadline that has been set for the embattled Tri County board to discontinue operation of Transportation Logan County, which provides rides for senior citizens, worker assistance programs and others in need of public transportation.
ODOT last week granted Tri County a two-week extension to continue to operate TLC.
