West Liberty-Salem volleyball team receives academic honor

The West Liberty-Salem varsity volleyball team was recently honored by the Ohio High School Volleyball Coaches Association for its academic accomplishments.

The Tigers were reconized for “outstanding academic achievements while participating in interscholastic volleyball.”  The team’s average GPA was 3.612.

Out of the nine players on the varsity squad, six also received individual recognition for “outstanding academic achievement,” which means that the player had to have a 3.5 GPA or higher. Receiving that award were Rachel Loffing, Mollie Etgen, Kaylin Frederick, Kylee Hormann, Rachel Ritter and Kylie Gilroy.
