Bellefontaine High School product Daulton Mosbarger played a key role in the University of Akron’s 9-6 Mid-American Conference baseball tournament win over Central Michigan on Wednesday.
Mosbarger, a sophomore outfielder for the Zips, led off the game with his first career home run. He drilled the second pitch of the contest over the right-field fence.
It was one of three hits on the day for Mosbarger.
Akron’s win was the first for the Zips in MAC tourney play since 2005. Akron plays Buffalo today as the tournament continues in Avon.
