The Bellefontaine Schools Board of Education approved at their Monday evening meeting a negotiated economic agreement with the Bellefontaine Education Association for the current contract.
According to the new economic agreement, certified staff members will receive a 2.5 percent raise on base salaries for the 2014-15 school year, effective Aug. 1. Members of the BEA ratified the agreement Friday.
Last year, the BEA and board of education approved the current three-year master contract between the BEA and the board of education that continues through Aug. 31, 2016. The contract included provisions to re-open the economic package during the second and third years.
