C. Louise Grant, 81, of West Liberty, and formerly of Roundhead, passed away Sunday, May 4, 2014, at her residence.
She was born in Hancock County on Oct. 7, 1932, a daughter of the late Carl and Sarah Flick Businger.
On April 3, 1950, in Ft. Wayne, Ind., she married Herbert J. Grant and he preceded her in death on May 16, 2007. She also was preceded in death by two sisters, Patricia Palmerton and Jeretta Businger; two brothers, Otho and Jack Businger; and a son-in-law, Don Saylor, who died in 2010.
Survivors include two daughters, Linda (the Rev. Anthony) Krummrey of Sidney and Susan Saylor of Belle Center; three grandchildren, Aaron (Kassondra) Krummrey of Sidney, Shannon (D.J.) Ammons of Autryville, N.C., and Steven Saylor of Belle Center; four great-grandchildren, Kaelyn Saylor, Rylee and Caleb Ammons, and Olivia Krummrey; a sister, Bernadine Hull of Kenton and many nieces and nephews.
She worked as a cook in Upper Scioto Valley Schools at the Roundhead building for 25 years. She was a member of the South Union Mennonite Church, West Liberty. She loved to cook and bake and shared her talents with her neighbors. She was a wonderful, loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
The funeral is at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home, 306 N. Elizabeth St., Belle Center, where calling is from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday. Pastor Matthew Williams officiates and burial is in Fairview-McDonald Cemetery, Hardin County.
