Wayne Mills, 39, address at large, was charged with domestic violence and was transported Sunday morning to the Logan County Jail following an incident in Russells Point.
Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to the area of 302 W. Main St., Russells Point, about 8:25 a.m. in reference to a fight in the street between a man and a woman.
When deputies arrived, the woman, Kendra Mills, 31, of 7180 Hardin Drive, Russells Point, ran across the street to talk with deputies. They noted that she was crying and shaking.
Her husband, Mr. Mills, then followed her across the street. Deputies reported he got down on his knees in the street and asked her to listen to him.
Mrs. Mills was placed in a patrol car for her safety. She said the argument began about 8 a.m. that morning when he looked at her phone, and then slapped her in the face.
The defendant became uncooperative with deputies and would not calm down. He was placed under arrest, and once he was inside a patrol car, he began kicking the car door and hitting his head on the security screen. He was transported to the Logan County Jail.
