Copper piping, tools stolen from Huntsville residence

LoCoSheriff-Star

Cary Alltop Sr. of Lakeview reported to deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office Thursday that someone had broken into his property at 4802 W. State Route 274, Huntsville, and caused a large amount of damage.

He observed muddy footprints tracked throughout the house, and a back door was open to the residence. Copper piping had been cut and removed from the basement, and baseboard heaters also had been removed from several rooms.

The kitchen sink cabinet had sustained water damage, and tools such as a ladder, saw and hammer had been stolen from the residence. Further investigation is pending.
