The approximately one million visitors to the Indian Lake area each year will be among those best served by the opening of the 16th full-time recycling center in Logan County, according to the Logan County Solid Waste Management District.

The agency staged a ceremonial ribbon cutting Tuesday at the site, 13042 N. State Route 235, Lakeview, along with the Logan County Commissioners, Indian Lake State Park officials and members of the Indian Lake Development Corporation to celebrate the grand opening of the newest 24-hour recycling center. It is the fifth such Indian Lake-area location.
“This site is in a perfect location near the Indian Lake State Campground,” said Angel Payne, director of the LCSWD. “The lake area has an estimated one million visitors each year and we predict that this location will be appealing to campers and tourists as well as permanent residents in the area.
“We foresee this being a very busy location.”
