Brunner pitches Bellefontaine to shutout of Cougars

Kyle Brunner tossed a three-hit shutout to lead visiting Bellefontaine to a 10-0 six-inning win over Kenton Ridge in a Central Buckeye Conference baseball game Monday.

The Chiefs improve to 10-2 overall and 6-1 in the CBC. Kenton Ridge is now 7-8, 4-4.

Bellefontaine got off to a fast start with four runs in the top of the first inning. The Chiefs added two runs in the second, two in the third and finished off the Cougars with two runs in the sixth.

A senior right-hander, Brunner struck out two and did not walk a batter.

Offensively for the Chiefs, Connor Burton went 2-4 with two RBI, Matt Entsminger had a double and an RBI, Cody Lyons went 2-4 with an RBI, Jarrod Houchin went 2-4 with an RBI and John Kirby went 2-4 with two RBI.
