Logan County Board of Developmental Disabilities members discussed at their recent meeting the upcoming Buddy Walk, slated for 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, May 17, at Southview Park.
The event is sponsored by the Logan County Board of DD Wellness Committee CHAMPS to raise awareness of how people with disabilities can be friends, neighbors and employees in the community. Health and wellness vendors will be set up along the walk.
Event T-shirts are available for $10 each, if ordered by Friday. Some additional T-shirts will be available the day of the event for $12. For more information, contact Deb Morrison at 292-3011.
Superintendent Saul Bauer discussed the annual flower sale that concludes Friday, and provides funds for local individuals with developmental disabilities. A large selection of hanging baskets and pots of geraniums are available for $15 each, and flowers will arrive in time for Mother’s Day.
