Runs come in bunches for Tigers in victory over RHS

West Liberty-Salem rolled up 15 hits en route to a 13-6 win over host Riverside in a non-league baseball game Thursday.

The early innings featured the bulk of the scoring. The Tigers jumped out with five runs in the top of the first before the Pirates plated four in the bottom of the first for a 5-4 score.

WL-Salem again put five runs on the board in the top of the second to take a 10-4 lead.

The Pirates scored twice in the bottom of the second to make the score 10-6, but Riverside was unable to push any more runs across the plate.

WL-Salem tacked on three more runs in the seventh.

David Branham went 4-5 with four RBI to pace the Tigers at the plate.
