Local auctioneer Nigle Standley, center, works to sell dozens of items Saturday at the annual Calvary Christian School benefit auction before a large crowd in the Northeastern Elementary School gymnasium. Providing assistance are, from the left, Larry Czerniak, Dan Johnson and Ted Pfarr. According to Donna Kennedy, auction director, the preliminary total raised was $17,450. Additional sales and business donations are expected, she said. The auction’s proceeds provide assistance to the school and families of CCS students.
