Cory-Rawson used a late offensive surge to slip past Ridgemont 46-43 in a Division IV sectional tournament opener Tuesday at Lima Bath High School.

The Gophers end the season at 6-15.

Ridgemont defeated Cory-Rawson 48-46 in December, but the Hornets used a fourthquarter rally to pull out the win in the rematch.

Cory-Rawson led 8-4 after the opening quarter, but the Gophers stormed ahead 22-12 at halftime.

The Hornets outscored Ridgemont 14-9 to make the Gopher lead 31-26 at the end of the third quarter.

Cory-Rawson then dominated the fourth quarter, outscoring the Gophers 20-12 to grab the win.

Individual stats for Cory-Rawson were not available.
