Amanda Comstock, 21, of Rushsylvania, was transported by Huntsville EMS to Mary Rutan Hospital for non-incapacitating injuries sustained in a two-vehicle crash at 2:08 p.m. Saturday.

Troopers of the Marysville Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol report she was operating a southbound car on U.S. Route 68 about two miles north of Bellefontaine when she slowed to turn into a private drive. Her vehicle was then struck from behind by a southbound sport utility vehicle operated by Lillian White, 19, of Donnelsville.

Ms. White reported possible injuries, but was not transported from the scene. She was cited for failure to maintain assured clear distance ahead.

• James Boyles, 25, of Kenton, was cited for failure to control related to a one-vehicle crash early Sunday morning on State Route 292 at College Street in East Liberty.

Troopers report he was operating a northbound car on S.R. 292 when he failed to negotiate a curve and traveled off the road and struck a utility pole.

The driver sustained minor injuries. Perry Township EMS responded to the scene, but Mr. Boyles refused transport.

Neither alcohol nor drugs are suspected as factors in the crash.

The roadway reportedly was closed for about a half hour while crews from Dayton Power & Light made repairs to the utility pole.
