Lighting flashes around the Indian Lake area during a Saturday evening storm. The severe thunder and lighting storm that struck central Ohio has left only a handful of Logan County Dayton Power & Light customers without power as of early Sunday morning. Counties to the south of Logan such as Champaign, Clark, Greene, Miami and Montgomery were harder hit with about 10,500 customers, collectively, still without power. Saturday’s storm also forced the evacuation of the Notre Dame and University of Michigan football stadiums in South Bend, Ind, and Ann Arbor, Mich., respectively. Thunderstorms are expected to continue locally through the remainder of the Labor Day holiday weekend, according to various weather forecasts. (EXAMINER PHOTOS | RICK PITTS)
