Kenton slipped past host Ridgemont 46-44 on Saturday in a non-league girls basketball game.

The score was tied 21-21 at halftime. The Wildcats were two points better (25-23) in the second half to get the win.

Samantha Smith scored 13 points and Paige Guenther tallied 10 points and 15 rebounds to lead the Gophers. Cierra James had nine points and Malana Ledley added eight points for Ridgemont.

Individual scoring for Kenton and the reserve score were not reported.

Ridgemont is back in action tonight at home against Vanlue.
