JR. HIGH SOFTBALL: Ben Logan Black goes 1-1

The Ben Logan Black junior high softball team lost to Allen East 13-12 and then beat McComb 14-2 last weekend.

In the win over McComb, Grace Deardurff allowed just two hits and had 12 strikeouts.

Kierstyn Terry was 3-3 and Olivia Roose added a triple to lead the Ben Logan offense.

Ben Logan Gold wins three

Ben Logan’s Gold junior high softball team won three recent games.

Ben Logan Gold won 6-3 on Friday against Allen East. Kinzie Jones was the winning pitcher, going all seven innings and allowing only five hits.

Offensively for Ben Logan Gold, Addie Rodenberger was 3-4 with an RBI and Tahlsa Bowsher was 2-3 with an RBI and two stolen bases.

Ben Logan Gold then beat Cory-Rawson 18-2 and won over Ottawa 15-2 on Sunday.

Against Cory-Rawson, Kinzie Jones, Bowsher and Maddie Jones combined for a two-hitter and 11 strikeouts in the pitching circle.

Offensively, Kinzie Jones was 2-2 with a home run, double, and five RBI and Bowsher was 2-2 with a home run and two RBI.

In the win over Ottawa, Kinzie Jones earned the complete game win in the circle. She struck out 10 and allowed only three hits. Leanne Regula and Taylor Keen led the offense with a triple each.
