Several Logan County residents came out to the courthouse lawn Saturday to show their support of public workers by signing a petition that would allow voters to decide in November whether recently passed legislation limiting collective bargaining rights should stand in Ohio. As of Friday, We Are Ohio, the statewide group that organized the event here over the weekend, supporters had collected 214,399 signatures statewide, which is just shy of the 231,159 minimum verified signatures needed to place the referendum on the ballot and about half way to the group’s goal of 450,169 total signatures.
