David Moran, 52, of Bellefontaine, was transported by Tri-Valley EMS to Mary Rutan Hospital for minor injuries Thursday afternoon following a rollover crash on County Road 28.
Troopers of the Marysville Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol report Mr. Moran was driving a northbound dump truck on C.R. 28 about 3:30 p.m. when he lost control of the vehicle near the bottom of a hill, known as Corkscrew Hill. The vehicle then traveled off the left side of the road, struck a guardrail and a tree and overturned.
Building material waste being hauled by the truck spilled onto a patch of grass along the road.
The driver, who was wearing a seat belt, was cited for failure to control.
Tri-Valley Fire Department and a Logan County Haz-Mat crew were called to the scene to clean up spilled diesel fuel. The road was closed for about four hours. (Photo/Traci Gray-Miller)
