Plans for a full service Italian restaurant can move ahead immediately after the Bellefontaine City Council passed legislation to declare the former Stage building, 108-110 S. Main St., a revitalization district.
Owner Jason Duff said the move will help the restaurant proprietor obtain a liquor license for the operation which will occupy half the building.
It will take about 120 days for the licensing process, but it is a key part of the restaurateur’s plans, Mr. Duff said.
More than 75 percent of the business’ revenues are expected from food sales, he said. The operation will be open six days a week.
Mr. Duff said the proprietor asked to remain anonymous through this process but he will be introduced April 19 during a 5:30 p.m. event at the Stage building.
