Jeremy Levan of Levan Excavating operates a trackhoe to remove old road bed Wednesday from west Columbus Street in West Liberty. The $254,482 project covers just two blocks and will lower the street to a proper grade. It includes new curbs and gutters. Work should be done before the village’s Labor Day festival and parade.
