More charges filed against Ohio municipal judge

BEDFORD HEIGHTS, Ohio (AP) — A suburban Cleveland municipal judge indicted last year on bribery and prostitution-related charges has pleaded not guilty to new charges of tampering with evidence and records in the case.

Bedford Municipal Court Judge Harry Jacob III pleaded not guilty Wednesday to a new indictment in Cuyahoga (KY-uh-HOH'-guh) County court and posted a personal bond of $5,000.

Prosecutors say the indictment added charges, including two counts of tampering with evidence and single counts of tampering with records, possessing criminal tools and failing to report a felony.

One of his attorneys declined to comment on the new charges.

Jacob previously pleaded not guilty to charges of soliciting sex from three women, as well as bribery and three counts of promoting prostitution.
