There was no assistant coach and position group more criticized during the Jim Tressel era than Jim Bollman and his offensive line.
Perceived for years as an underachieving unit that did not utilize its talent, the offensive front is under the microscope this fall as Urban Meyer takes over the Ohio State program.
Bollman, who stayed on staff last year during Luke Fickell’s interim season at the helm, was not retained by Meyer.
Upon assessing his new team in the spring, it was obvious that Meyer was not pleased with the depth or talent at the position.
